Upper Deception Falls |

This is the upper starting point of Deception Falls beside the Stevens Pass highway through the Cascade Mountains in Washington state. This part of the falls is pretty quiet, but when you get farther down it becomes a raging fury. Definitely worth seeing if you're ever in the area. Stevens Pass is very scenic. If you have a choice between Stevens and Snoqualmie I'd give Stevens a try. The Stevens Pass highway is modern with lots of four lane, but the area is a lot more rugged than over Snoqualmie Pass.
