Hi Karen
Sticking fuzz is pretty common. The fuzz is usually just stuck in wax or polish on the surface rather than the finish. Spray polishes are especially bad for giving a surface for flannel to stick to. A good furniture cleaner like Prelude furniture cleaner from our on-line catalog with 0000 steel wool from the same page will generally clean it off. It dissolves old wax and polish down to the finish.
If the tablecloth has reacted with the finish and has softened it and stuck its fuzz in the finish you may be able to remove it with pumice stone or rotten stone found about 3/4 of the way down the page. They're both abrasive, so they'll remove any finish that the fuzz is stuck in too. They're both used for polishing, so they're both very fine abrasives and rottenstone is used for polishing to a nice shine, but you still need to use care, because they do remove finish. To use them a felt pad works best and use water or oil for a lubricant.
If neither of those work you'll need to strip the table top and refinish it. Citristrip is a good people friendly stripper. If you need more information on how to strip the table top, just go to our web site and put strip in the search feature or the search box can be found on any page.
