Each individual strand of cane is surprisingly strong and when you weave several stands together they make a chair seat or decorative area that is very strong and can hold considerable amounts of weight.

The time is right to replace that broken cane chair seat. If it has a groove around the opening you will need woven cane and if it has a series of little holes around the opening you will need strand cane. The Chair Caners Handbook or Chair Caning Video above will explain every little detail about caning your favorite chair.
